After this video was posted, I started to receive a lot of messages along the lines of, "are you okay?" and other consolatory comments in general that gave the "impression" that those watching assumed it was real. I was actually glad for this, because I wanted people to watch it and assume it was real, even though it was a performance where I was able to conjure up raw emotions and pour it into my improvisational dialogue in the video. Before posting, I was both tentative and eager to show people, as I was a bit nervous and embarrassed that it might be strange for people to see. I realized, though, that performance is about being less daunted and that I shouldn't limit my spectrum of expression on camera and what I'm presenting. In essence, I was glad to be able to have the courage to post a video like this and I was happy with the result of it, however nervous it made me feel to show my viewers. This is an old #throwback video of mine that PETE WALSH, a relatively famous impressionist on YouTube, had let me use as a video response to his CHRISTOPHER WALKEN IMPRESSION. In this video, I wanted to present a very real, raw emotional depiction of a Christopher Walken persona, in the vocal style of a younger, 'Annie Hall' Christopher Walken.
As a final point to this blog post, I think that being able to get recognition for what I do is a reward in itself and I have learnt to grasp onto those moments and hope for a lot more.
Thank you so much for whoever has visited my blog and I hope you enjoy my content,
Sincerely,
Nik Zutshi
